NUMTECH at the Solutions Village to discuss solutions to reduce the ecological footprint of digital technology.
The Circular Economy and Innovation Network of Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, Recita, serving local stakeholders (Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, ADEME, DREAL Nouvelle-Aquitaine), led by SOLTENA, regional cluster for the circular economy of Solutions for the Ecological Transition in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, to which NUMTECH is a member, is organizing a "Responsible Digital" technical day on Thursday May 23, 2024, at the IUT of Bordeaux, Gradignan site.
The objective of this day is to focus on how the digital sector is committed to reducing its environmental footprint.
NUMTECH is present at the Solutions Village to discuss and share with you about existing solutions to reduce the ecological footprint of digital technology, which today represents 4% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. With the rise of digital technology, the notion of digital sobriety is emerging as an imperative necessity. It aims to reduce the ecological footprint of information and communication technologies (consumption and use patterns, adoption of more economical behaviors, eco-design of digital products and services, extension of the lifespan equipment).
