Presentation of the tools developed on the occasion of the European Big Data Value Forum 2022.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 957269.
During the European Big Data Value Forum 2022, which is held in Prague in the Czech Republic from November 21 to 23, 2022, a presentation of the use case carried out by NUMTECH, as part of the EVEREST project (High-Performance, Distributed, Reconfigurable and Heterogeneous Platforms for Extreme-Scale Data Analytics), will be carried out during a special session on the exploitation of the tools developed within the framework of EVEREST, in particular on the FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) acceleration of the meteorological calculation code WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) and the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence).
In terms of AI, this project is an opportunity for NUMTECH to develop and test a whole weather forecasting approach forced by local observations in order to improve the overall results of its air quality forcasting system Plum'Air® around industrial sites. Several industrial sites, for which monitoring is already carried out by NUMTECH, are thus used to demonstrate the contribution of this approach.
